DIY Idea: Rolling Basket

I came across this lovely basket by C.S. Post & Co. on Pinterest, and of course my first thought was "surely I could make that." I love the generous size, and I know Elliot would enjoy pushing her toys from room too room (she does it anyway, so the basket may as well have wheels!).

I later spotted this basket at HomeGoods and think it is a lovely candidate for a DIY version. I've been looking for attractive and affordable baskets for toys for months, so had I not just -- literally days before -- spent $60 on a pair of baskets from the Privet Home for Target collection (which seems to not be available online anymore), I would have snapped it up.
Then then seriously considered adding a set of these lovely brass casters to it.

Radio Silence

Why hello. Miss me? (Maybe don't answer that.) I missed you. I could offer a whole host of excuses for my absence, but, you know, just life. I wasn't here and now I am. At the moment at least. Truthfully, I want to be here. I think. I want to be somewhere, writing and connecting with like-minded folks, and here is an obvious place to do that. So what have I been doing?

Elliot turned one year old (in January!) and we had a house full of folks to celebrate and eat cake with us.

Now she's 19 months old (this photo is a few months old) and is the sweetest, smartest, silliest little person. Her blond hair curls at the nape of her neck, and though she will climb onto a piece of furniture given the chance, she is kind of terrified of the swings at the park.

She's a total mess. And a joy! We laugh every day (both with and at her).

I've taken up sewing, and find it to be a very satisfying, yet sometimes frustrating, hobby. Most of my efforts lately have been toward a boom of baby girls born among my friends, but I've got some projects up my sleeve. Do any of you sew?

That's about it for now. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be back soon!
