Pretty Things: Black and White

For lack of a better description, this is nothing more than a random dump of inspiring images. Today, in black and white, with a little (unpolished!) brass thrown in for good measure.

Now this one is really random (and possibly slightly creepy?), but I like the combo of the tortoise shell glasses, gingham, and honey-colored wood of the guitar.

Photos: O so D, Ashley G, Elle Decor, unknown, La Maison Boheme, Katie Denham, Haskell Harris in Southern Living, Belle Decor at Garden & Gun (I think - wasn't planning to share this one), Donna Griffith for Style at Home, and unknown.

  1. Beautiful! I love my black and white bedroom but it doesn't quite have the same effect as those:)

  3. Never thought that "bathroom" and "beautiful" could be used in the same sentence! But that bathroom is beautiful!

  4. That picture of the man was funny. I can't believe I am saying this, but I am loving the brass come back.

  5. I don't think it was a creepy photo, we shouldn't limit what inspires us.. a look, a feel, a smell, tortoiseshell glasses...

  6. I am adding a chalkboard wall to my small bathroom with black and white tiles. Adding bright color to black and white always makes me smile.

  7. That is so serendipitous that you posted on these this weekend. Zac and I are planning a black and white room with a brass bed for the master room and then putting up subway tiles with dark grout in the kitchen. Keep them coming Jen!

  8. You made me giggle with the 'creepy' comment. Hey, decor blogs always get inspiration from women's styles, why not men's?
