I have decided that I "need" a small-ish round mirror over our four-poster bed. There are two egg prints there now, but it's a few too many right angles and I'm thinking of moving them. I don't think I want a sunburst (I think I'm at capacity with three in the house), but maybe a small convex? The one in my mind would have an iron frame, like
the one in my dining room. So if
this one were round and not oval, it would be perfect! Anyone seen this mirror?

Try the antiques and consignment store in the old Ethan Allen building on 31. They seem to have anything and everything and one point or another. Ballard Design? Those are my suggestions! Like the idea. I'm with you on the sunburst. I have 2 in the house, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs!
Not this one exactly, but I have seen very similar at Hobby Lobby. HTH!
Seconded checking out AC Moore, Micheal's etc. With a coat of paint, it could be a cheap option.
Have you tried eBay? I'll keep my eye out.
The miles of fabric on that bed are amazing.
Home Goods gets the best mirrors. I also saw some at Aaron Brothers. Or perhaps Ballard Designs on line but I think prices would be a bit higher. Trina
All the previous suggestions are great - you may also check out Wisteria.

Purchase a circular ceiling medallion, and paint or gold-leaf it. Purchase or have cut a round mirror that will fit inside the ceiling medallion. Affix the mirror to the medallion with Gorilla Glue or mirror mastic.
This place has lots of round mirrors.

so people might go to habitat but that doesn't mean they have the same "eye" to spot the great things :) you are too cute. best of luck w/ the mirror...i know you find the perfect one!
I just bought 3 of these for my living room! They're convex and smaller (11 inches). If you didn't like the color, you could always paint them...

I was just as HomeGoods yesterday and they had LOVELY mirrors...also Michael's and Hobby Lobby have great mirrors. Michael's come and go...but Hobby Lobby always has a good supply...and like the other gals said...you can always paint them if you don't like the color.
Good luck,

A convex mirror, similar to the ones that Grant Gibson has in his apartment are at Arron Brothers (art shop). I bought several there. They have different sizes. All inexpensive. Good looking too.
If you want me to take a picture the ones I have gotten there send me an email. Like em? You can call the shop and have them send it to you.

Here's one: http://www.bellacor.com/productdetail/508798.htm. But I'd recommend checking out a local antique store - I actually just saw one recently (but I'm in Milwaukee). Or if only this came in brass: http://www.handhelditems.com/antiqued-green-ship-port-hole-mirror-porthole-p-50573.html. Not a true convex, but great details.
hmmm, I feel like I just saw one. I will let you know. Possible Hobby Lobby?
I have a smaller convex mirror {11 in diameter} that I found at Hobby Lobby for $10 {after 50% off sale on wall decor...the one they have going all the time}. It's a thicker black frame with a thin gold line next to the mirror, but you could certainly paint the whole frame gold for the same effect. I love my mirror!
Okay not Hobby Lobby. They have some good round mirrors but not convex. I will keep thinking!
One Kings Lane had them not too long ago. I've been looking for one for my parents. They are all over antique shops, but we're kind of picky.
