Dreaming of Blackberry Farm (Again!)

June is our anniversary month and with its arrival, I can't help but think of my favorite dream anniversary destination: Blackberry Farm in Tennessee. And today in particular, the beautiful Suzanne Kasler-decorated barn.

If you're like me and won't be making the trip anytime soon, you can bring home a little bit of Blackberry by shopping the Farmstead Catalog or picking up the cookbook. Hint, hint, husband!

PS, I posted about Granny Smith Green's trip to Blackberry Farm here and here.

I hear you, sister. I would LOVE to make Blackberry Farm a weekend trip, but alas, the budget won't allow. I'm sure most of are in the same boat!

I see the cookbook crop up on eBay regularly for a lot less - it's actually on my anniversary wishlist as well. Ha!

My parents just went to Blackberry Farm for their anniversary last year and LOVED it. There are lower budget options that you can look into so that you're not splurging and making it really pricey. Do it!

I have wanted to go there for so long. Maybe one day I will be able to afford it. Carla

I have to say, I adore your taste. Is farmhouse chic a term? Cause that's what I'm going for.

Oh I've been day dreaming about this place as well. I used to pictures of it printed out and taped around my kitchen as hints! I have yet to go! :)

Oh, yes! How I adored my trip to Blackberry Farm! After dinner in the barn one night, we sat for hours talking in the seating arrangement shown in your second picture. We were chilly and the staff brought out wool wraps for everyone. It was wonderful! We sat there till well after midnight and then walked over to "our farmhouse" just steps away. Bliss!

Thanks for the mention and taking me back again!

is there a phrase better than 'Suzanne Kasler decorated barn" ? I think not.
