More Than a Great Entry

If you loved Julie's entry from this post, you will l-o-v-e the rest of her house. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is that appeals to me so much, but I think it's that it's filled with her and her family's favorite things. I get the feeling that she chooses things not because of pedigree or popularity, but because she loves them and they make her life better in some way (even if that is just by being pretty). And really, is there any other way to do it?!

And don't even get me started on the bathrooms. They are full of my favorite things: subway tile with dark grout, wood planking, a blue ceiling, and that Anthro shower curtain I've had my eye on for years.

PS - sorry I've been so out of the loop lately. I think I've turned a corner with the pregnancy and am feeling almost human again. Here's to hoping the inspiration will be flowing soon, and thank you, thank you for sticking with me!

Are you the sweetest person ever??!! Thank you so much...totally surprised and flattered. (And guess what--that Anthro curtain is a Target one...go & get you one!!) Really...I appreciate the comments and I am passionate about our home. By the way, make sure to read next week because my friend, Brad Crosby, is taking some "real" photos of our home....and Tia Zoldan is going to be sharing some new pics of her home with us!

Thanks, Jennifer. I hope you are well...pregnancy is so wonderful & horrible at the same time :)

Hello, just found your blog and I love it. I am so jealous of this house, it feels like something out of a fairy tale. Sigh....

I just want to concur with what Julie said previously, "pregnancy is so wonderful and horrible at the same time." I'm glad for you that you've turned a corner, and I hope the corner remains behind you! I'm 2 months ahead of you (with twin girls), and it gets better, but it's still very, very strange. :)

Well I must say....it's easy for her home to look nice with all her favorite things when she has such AMAZING taste! Gorgeous home!

So pretty. I saved her bedroom walls in my inspiration folder - love that faded wallpaper look.
Hope you're doing well! We're having a heat wave and my feet are so swollen I can't get my shoes on. I totally understand what "barefoot and pregnant" means now.

I adore the backsplash in the kitchen, its lovely, warm and unique! By the way, I just went through your 'bathroom' list because we are getting ready to renovate our bathroom. Thanks for compiling so many lovely images. It was totally inspiring!

Love the kitchen! I wonder though, does anyone have an opinion on whether or not the shelves are functional?

My husband and I are building our barn with my studio on top. We'll live in the studio while we build the house so we're going to put in a small kitchen.

I love how open shelves add charm and whimsy but I wonder, do you have to rinse your dishes before using them?
