Day 640's question


What do you think of this rug? I spotted it at HomeGoods over the weekend and am mulling it over for our bedroom. It's a little hard to tell in the top picture, but it's actually hooked wool, which I like. We don't have much color or pattern in there, so I think this will wake it up a little. It's also the perfect size (3.5 by 6.5) for the only spot where an off-the-shelf rug will fit and the price is hard to beat ($80).


I struggle with rugs! I think I'm a little scared of them, actually, which is why the only one in the house is very, very safe -- braided seagrass. So tell me the truth, is it totally cheesy??

    I like it! I say go for it. It's only $80 and it looks like it will match your bedding perfectly!

    I love it! I too have a very neutral master bedroom and would love a patterned rug to spruce it up. Where would you put it? At the foot of the bed? To the side of the bed? I would love to see a visual of the space it would go in. For $80, I think it would be worth it. And if you hate it in there, just take it back. Once again, jealous that you have a Home Goods.

    Like the crewel detail.....even though it is color it is subdued, think on down the line..you could use it elsewhere

    It's very pretty and seems like it would be pretty in the room. Try brining in some of the coral as an accent?

    I love it! The colors are really serene. It would look great in a bedroom I love that it's hooked wool and the best part is the 80 price tag. Go for it!

    I don't think it's cheesy at all! From what I remember, your bedroom is pretty simple. I think a rug like this would be pretty and it would add some flair. Just my thoughts. :)

    It seems really pretty from the pic & the price is great so I would give it a shot in the room.

    In all honesty, I think it has the potential to be a teensy bit cheesy but if your room is neutral enough it might come out perfectly. (I also think the fact that it's hooked is GORGEOUS!!) I've gone for rugs similar to this one (found at linens n things!!! :) and have asked myself the same question. In the end I kept one & returned others... I bought one for a client & it worked really well & I loved it & then bought the same one for me & hated it at my place so I think you just have to check it out at home. You'll know as soon as you see it in there!

    I think it would be a nice addition to your bedroom. Are you thinking for bedside the bed, in front of the closet?

    I love rugs- oriental are my favorite. They add so much depth to a room. It is NOT cheesy. I think that kind of rug is very classic and won't go out of style like some of the more "plain" rugs will. That's just my opinion. I say go for it, and hurry because that's a great price!

    I like it. I think, for one, the colors of it are very much in the taste of you and your home. Quality for the price is good and it will add some pattern to your room which is great and maybe needed. I really like the idea of using the splash of coral somewhere in your bedroom too. Be a nice POP!

    I also think this rug could easily have come from straight out of a Ballard Designs Catalouge, and I <3 a lot of their stuff. IMO

    Home Goods is my place, for sure! I recently purchased a sweet rud there that was the ideal size for an akward 1/2 bath... perfection.

    Buy it. It is so pretty and a fantastic deal. The colors are very versatile (and very you) so you can always use it in different rooms should you change your mind down the road.
