I work for the company that did Mary Evelyn Mckee's kitchen there in Birmingham--it's one of my most favorite installations. A truly contemporary kitchen in a lovely traditional home is such a stunning combination.
Love this faucet. Last time I was in Ikea I was surprised to see a large selection of faucets. I have no idea how they compare but may be worth a look?
Hey, Jennifer, thanks for stopping by & catching up. Love it when you do! And girl, you are welcome to go yardsaling with me anytime, just say the word. :) My friend, Debbie, is getting hooked on it & I think we'll be out there every weekend.
It is hard not to get caught up in popular items. Like those lanterns we all see & you have, I love them too! In fact, if I every spot one for a good price, I'm getting it for my breakfast table. That will give me something to look for.
I don't know how I missed your original faucet post, but I LOVE THESE, especially the one you selected from Overstock (good price, too!). There is a very high possibility that it makes it into our new kitchen which we're in the midst of remodeling. Nice finds.
I just bought a faucet like that on Overstock too-but its a bit smaller scale, I thought the huge one might be a bit overpowering for my kitchen. Its fabulous looking & very heavy-I cannot wait until its installed!
I've been seeing that long-nosed faucet everywhere too, and I think it's a sign that I should go get one for myself. It would make my kitchen more fancy and modern. LOL!
I’m not surprised that your faucet seems to be appearing everywhere. It’s that kind of faucet that makes a kitchen look classier, and at the same time, more modern. I think I’ll install that kind of faucet on my kitchen sink too, since everyone seems to like it.
We had that long nosed faucet too installed in our kitchen just last month. It was my mom’s idea and she was influenced by one of her friends who kept on bugging her about it. Anyway, it does look great on our fully furnished kitchen. It was a good catch!
Having a pretty faucet is nice. But aside from that, you should also use a pipe in your sink that can have a long lifespan. For example, if you use a brass pipe, you're guaranteed that it would last for 25 to 50 years. Just make sure that it’s being maintained well; avoid throwing liquids in the sink that have high acidity level.
It's just like when you learn a new word you hear it all the time, or when you roll off the car lot with a new car, there's one at every red light!
ReplyDeleteLove it the faucet, btw. ;)
I have been obsessed with it too. go to moth design blog (its on my side bar), you will go nuts I am sure.

I've wanted a faucet like this in my big girl home ever since I went to camp and saw the dish man using one like this- it is AWESOME!
