Day 669's tulips

How pretty are these (grocery store) tulips? They are so full and frilly that I thought they were peonies from afar. They're nice and tall, too, just right for my big glass urn.

Of course, they didn't sit in the vase quite as I envisioned, but I do like their wild side. Might need to cut them down again today!

*Hoping to find some more time today to post about Chattanooga, so maybe the tullips will tide you over until then.

beautiful! I just picked a few tulips from my back yard this morning.

If you prick them with a pin about 1cm down the stem from the flowerhead they perk up (although I think they look perfectly lovely as they are!)

They do look like peonies from a glance... so pretty. I LOVE fresh flowers in my home. They just make the biggest difference. I am hosting a baby shower at my house on Saturday- the perfect reason to spread flowers all over my house.

adding a penny to the water in the vase will keep them "perky" --just learned this trick and it really works!

Beautiful flowers! I was just go write the same thing as Janie- I was just told to put a penny in the water and they wont flop- it actually worked the first time I tried it too!
