Picture of Perfection

A row of bell-jar lanterns, a blue porch ceiling, operable shutters, and an ocean view - what more can you ask for?? Maybe a steaming cup of coffee to help take it all in.

I would SO like to be there right this minute.
With a book, a drink .. on a nice wicker lounge with pillows ... where I will end up taking a snooze.

I really like the blue ceilings .. last night I was browsing real estate in NY State, country homes.. there were so many with blue ceilinged porches..

I love the light blue ceiling. Just LOVE! The only thing I would add is a few more chairs & some plants to create a more inviting and comfortable setting. Other than that......perf.

That porch is gorgeous! I would love to have a house on the beach.

The blue ceiling is so pretty!

Heavenly. Wish we were there now.

I could use some time there. But I would have to have a maid that would clean the bugs and pollen out of the jar lights. That is my only complaint about mine they get so dirty!

I'm thinking a glass of pinot grigio would make it perfect! Carla

Give me a glass of strawberry lemonade and a rocking chair and I could sit out there all day. Ah, this makes me want a vacation :) I love your blog.

I've heard that a blue ceiling on a porch helps keep the mosquitoes away. They are attracted to blue thinking it's the sky and go up rather than onto the porch inhabitants. It could be an old wives tale, not sure, but I find it interesting.
