The Rest of That House

Shannon reminded me on Tuesday that the rest of the house that belongs with the kitchen with the green floor is pretty great (there has to be a better way to say that!).

I love how the green kitchen floor is picked up in the curtains and chairs in the adjoining dining room.

And on into the living room, which is essentially the same space.

Most of the green in concentrated in the middle (the dining room) and then the color is sort eased off in the living area and kitchen. This is a great way to make a large open space feel cohesive without going crazy with just one color.

I adore this washstand in what I presume is the powder room. I stalked one in an antique store for a few months but never quite felt the need to bring it home. It sure was cute though!

This house is also home to the bedroom curtains I posted about not long ago.

  7. That sort of green is never a color I like or appreciate but in this case, it works.
I see the floor is painted ? That is amazing, they had the bravery to paint a floor that green :) I get so worried about these things.. I am always impressed when someone else has more nerve than I do :)
I love the dining room table and chairs.. especially those chairs.

  11. Very pretty. I too lamented over a similar wash stand...but ended up just admiring it in the store in the end. What a great look it offers and love how they have the faucet coming out of the wall.
