Day 664's pretty idea ... maybe

Am I losing my "touch," or is this plywood wall kind of awesome? If you're into faux bois, I suspect this is the easiest and cheapest way to get the look. You'd obviously want to get some quality plywood, but in a small entry, I think I would totally do it. Love that little chest, too (of course!). What do you think? Love it, or leave it?

Happy Weekend!

I love it. I've even seen it done on floors and I liked it.

I really like this. Seems to add to the open and airy look of the room. I wanna crawl into that picture and run myself a bubble bath!

I don't think I love the plywood wall but maybe that's because I've actually lived with a plywood wall before :)

I'm loving it as well.

Have a good weekend!

As long as the plywood looked "intentional" perhaps with the proper molding on the ceiling and on the base I think it would be great. Otherwise it might look like a project that got stalled due to lack of money, contractor etc.

It's not my favorite, but it is unexpected, which I like!

That dresser is fabulous!

um... I actually love it!!!

We ripped out our carpet in our old house & lived on the plywood floors but we stained tham a dark ebony & I have a white dog so that was just plain awful!! But seeing this pic again is making me wonder about them temporarily...

Hi Jennifer!

Yes, you probably found me through Brittany and George's blog. Britt is my best friend and we both grew up in Alexander City and lived together at Auburn. I love your blog too!

At first I didn't even notice that the wall was plywood because the chest and chair immediately caught my eye. After reading your comments I went back to look and find it impressive...and quite brave I think.

The chest and chair, which are Swedish, are fabulous...but I would think that!

looks like we're divided on the issue. I agree, it could be a total disaster, but in this case, I think it's a total success!
